REGISTRATION AND RENEWAL OF DOMAIN NAMES

the following persons are eligible to register .eu domain names:

(i) a Union citizen, independently of their place of residence;
(ii) a natural person who is not a Union citizen and who is a resident of a Member State;
(iii) an undertaking that is established in the Union; or
(iv) an organisation that is established in the Union, without prejudice to the application of national law.

at the time of the UK withdrawal, EU citizens residents in UK may still keep their .eu domain name(s) thanks to the changes of the .eu eligibility criteria that as of 19 October 2019 will see the citizenship criteria added to the residency criteria.

As of the withdrawal date, undertakings and organisations that are established in the United Kingdom but not in the EU and third country nationals (i.e. non-EU-27 citizens) who reside in the United Kingdom will no longer be eligible to register .eu domain names or, if they are .eu registrants, to renew .eu domain names registered before the withdrawal date.

How to renew

The renewal period starts 30 days before the expiration date and you can renew the domain until the expiration date.

The .eu domain also supports early renewal.

How to transfer

To transfer a .eu domain it is necessary:

- Auth code. This code must be facilitated by the actual registry.

- The domain must be un-locked for transfer by the actual registry. If so, the client must contact the current registrar to un-lock the domain for transfer.

- More than 60 days of registration.

When a domain .eu is transferred, it's renewed for another year. The transfer process completes at the moment.

We suggest you transfer your domain name enough days before expiration in order to avoid your transfer being denied.

Owner change

We can only make a holder trade if the domain's Accredited Registrar is Entorno Digital. Otherwise, the first thing we must do is transfer the domain to Entorno Digital.

In order to make the holder trade it can be done through the domain extranet. You can request it on the field "Holder Change". Once the request is paid two emails will be sent automatically, one to the actual holder and another to the new one. By accepting both emails the Holder Trade will be done automatically.

The Holder Trade has a price o 50 euros (price without VAT)
